Kingston is a small town at the southernmost end of Lake Wakatipu, just north of Otago and Southland in New Zealand’s South Island. It is 47 kilometres south of Queenstown by a road which winds between the lake to the west and the Remarkable and Hector mountain ranges to the east. It is 70 kilometres north of Lumsden and close to the headwaters of the Mataura River.
The airfield is located a further 2 kilometres south of Kingston township on State Highway 6, just within the Southland District Boundary.

Can foreign pilots hire a plane?
Yes, a foreign pilot can fly with us while on holiday in the area. Ensure you have your current medical certificate and pilot licence with you.
You will be able to fly with our instructor as a safety pilot or in a training role if you wish to develop your skills. You will not be able to fly the aircraft solo unless you have validated or converted your foreign licence with us.

When are your course start dates?
We do not have any course start dates. We treat every student individually so that we can provide a training program that suits their circumstances. Just let us know when you want to begin your training and we can book in a time for you.
What are the minimum qualifications to commence your courses?
There are no minimum qualifications, as we teach you everything you need to know. However, a good understanding of maths, physics and the written and spoken Englisg Language is very beneficial.
